Ok, so we are going to try clans again. Once more they are going to
change, just to see if we can make them work in a more RP fashion this
way. A few new rules and regulations are going to be made. These rules
are to encourage role-playing and a reason for clans beside clan wars.
1. Clan leaders can NOT be shared characters.
2. Clan switching will not be allowed unless I'm given a good reason.
Then with my permission you can switch clans. If you plan on joining a
clan just to get into another clan, let me know before you join.
3. Characters should be created with the clan that they want to join in
mind. Much like gods have certain restrictions on who can follow them,
clans should as well. (ie. character alignment, race, class, god followed)
4. Start a new clan, start a new character to lead the clan. In order to
try and keep balance in the clans, characters must be in a clan before they
hit level 25.
5. Role-playing is a must, like for real this time. I want to see a lot
more green(ic) when clan characters are talking. The IC channel is NOT
just for fighting between clans. Talk to your other clan members with it,
recruit members with it, use it to talk...in character. Instead of using
OOC when you want to "run" a zone. Take an extra second to think
of a
reason to do it in character.
Now come the prefers!
1. Don't share clan characters. It kills role playing when someone else
is doing it with the same person. I'm not saying it is illegal to do, but
it is frowned upon. HOWEVER, clan leaders CAN NOT be shared. NO excuses.
I see a clan leader shared, bye-bye clan.
2. Please don't make one super powered clan. The point of clans is to add
an element of entertainment and challange to the mud. Everyone has
complained about the mud being boring, only having one super powered clan
isn't going to help.
3. This might make clans small, but please do not have characters in multiple
clans.
That is of course unless the clans are allied and will
remain that way.
And now the rest. Clan eq and rooms will be addressed later when I get a
couple things sorted out and questions answered. There will still be clan
guards at the entrance, but they will not be super powered beasts. I'll
determine clan costs after I get your clan application. Mudmail me your
clan description including the role-play reason behind it, general
description, and restrictions on clan members.
One last thing. Try not to level up your clan characters with other
characters from outside of the clan. Try to actually be a clan and help
each other out from inside the clan. Also I don't know if I made it
clear enough, but anyone over level 25 can not get into a clan. I know
you are going to complain, but I don't care. You can't start a
super-powered clan with a bunch of level 1 characters.

Pirates of the Ironclaw - Octurious
[Iron]
This clan of pirates originates from the ocean around
Choshu where they first began their raiding and plundering. These pirates have
differing approaches
on morals and views, but have all come together
for the purpose of amassing treasure for themselves.
Greed has united the members far closer than any
of them care to admit. Skills of fighting, stealth,
and brute force, is what has allowed this band of
pirates to thrive for so long, thus warriors and
assassins are the most common classes. Although
most of the Pirates are distrustful of magic, a
few shamans are found mingled in, their skills help
to provide the pirates with the stealth and back
up support they need in protecting their hordes
of treasure. As for clan allies, their alliance
lies only to those with money to pay for their servic
es.
Restritions - Mainly Warriors and Assassins, few
Shamans.
The Warriors of Meridian - Verigo
A clan of dark bandits attacked a small village
in the misty mountains of Meridian. The city was
burned to the ground and none were left alive, except
a young smith and his son which he had fought desperately
to save. Verigo uth
Matar was a human man,
as was most of Meridian city. His wife was of an
elven background and was from a ruined city in the
east. As Verigo looked about the ruin and destructio
n of his home and family, the fatigued smithy breathed
a silent vow in his pain. He would have revenge
on these hooded men no matter what he had to do.
He spent years of toil in training, teaching himself
and his son to the trials of his cause. Some day,
those merciless bandits that obliterated his life
as he knew it, would pay.
Restrictions - Evil
Human, Elf, Half-Elf only.
High Achievers -
Stubbles
In the recent past, a village of half-trolls was
attacked by an unknown group of humans. The village
was burnt down to ashes. With dismembered and scorch
ed body parts strewn about, the survivors of this
devastation set off to track down and destroy those
behind these horrible events. During their travels,
the half-trolls stumbled upon a small dwarven village
that had been desecrated in the same manner as the
half-troll village. The separate races decided
to work together to defeat their common enemy. The
races used their abilities and combined strengths
to destroy the group of humans. Seeing how well
the separate races worked together, they decided
to permanently combine forces and protect the lands
from the evils of the world.
Restrictions - Good Dwarves and Half-Trolls only.
Brotherhood of Darkness -
Vax
The Brotherhood of Darkness was founded by Vax
Dominus, a man with a bizarre upbringing. After
killing both of his parents in a hateful, bloody
massacre, he vowed to find others of the cabalistic
nature to join him in his quest to cause turmoil
and carnage. . The Brotherhood consists of nothing
but humans with the blackest hearts and vilest nature
s. The Dark Lord, Bane, watches down upon us as
we continue the unholy battle for supremacy in his
name. Our objectives are to hinder the spread of
righteousness in Landsverge, oppose the forces of
Light, cause chaos and reek havoc throughout the
realm.
Restrictions - Evil Humans only. Must
follow Bane.
